At this stage I have the model built and the Sketchup model completed. Now I have to start finalizing my presentation and practicing in with my parents.

I found a very helpful website that allowed me to make this top down image of my house. It allows you too see it 3D.
For my final design I'm sticking with a tiny house on wheels. This will avoid having to worry about the permitting required to build a house on a permanent foundation. It also allows you to get up and go whenever you want. I've created the wooden framing as shown below.
My neighbor has given me a new book titled Architecture Drafting and Design. Her husband was in landscaping. This will be a very helpful resource. It has everything I need to know about how to draft a house step by step. It even goes into the history of the most popular styles of architecture.
After getting back from spring break I have started planning the model building stage and the photo shop renderings. I'm going to use the two week period to finalize verify everything and to build the model. I would also like to use the next few weeks to calculate the price of this house to build. I'm still very excited and highly motivated about this project.
At this point in the project I have come up with the final blueprint and design for the house. I have created a list of sustainable features that I want to include in the house:
I've began heading in the more modern direction with my second house concept. I has more windows to allow more natural light. The roof is flat and would be perfect for a living roof. At this point I know I would like to include a composting toilet, solar panels, a living roof/wall, and a grey water system.
So far I have began doing research into environmental design and sustainable building practices. I have purchased the book Sustainable Residential Architecture which is comprised of architectural renderings, blueprint, and pictures. I'm waiting on a response from a potential mentor. She is the Full Professor of Architecture and Diversity Studies at California College of the Arts. Using Sketchup, I designed my first house idea using a gable style roof (bellow).
